First Dawn Chorus

One morning on my precious day off, I woke up at 6am and could not get back to sleep for the life of me!
It was still dark outside and I heard an unexpected Robin singing in the trees opposite my house. I then had this great idea of going for a walk down to the woods and fields to see what else was up and about.
I think I went at just the right time, to start with there were a few birds but it was somewhat quiet, as the walk went on everything began to wake up and I saw a great variety including Pheasents, Tawny owls, Common Gulls and lots of wonderful Redwings on the way out!
As I walked I kept a record and I ended up with 23 different species in the space of an hour! Birds never fail to cheer me up! I did eventually go back to sleep and woke up at 12pm though, oops!
