While it's not much to go by right now, I wanted to share this:

Now moving on to more important stuff! On the same day, the Pokemon Center stores will also be selling Pokemon Time merchandise featuring Pokemon from the Hoenn Region! What does this mean?!? Are they hinting at something? *cough* Ruby/Sapphire remake??  *cough* We’ll just have to wait and see!

Remember when Pokemon Sunday made a new game annoucement in 2009 for Heart Gold and Soul Silver? Before they revealed it was Gold/Silver remake, on the show there was a segment where silver and gold coloured party balls exploded confetti. I know merchandise and party balls aren't the same thing, but perhaps this third gen merchandise is a way of suggesting that we will be seeing Ruby and Sapphire remakes in the future? I mean, it makes sense that TPCi would be releasing this merchandise to rake up some nostalgia for most of their buyers.

Well, in my opinion I don't think it hints to ruby/sapphire remakes as much but instead  saying "3rd gen hasn't been forgotten." The 3rd generation has had the least publicity for a while so they're going to bring them in at one point. I wouldn't be surprised about remakes in the making though, I just wouldn't say this is a hint, it's far too subtle and seems to be jumping to conclusions. o.e

But marketing always does come before. Maybe they're trying to get people back in love with the hoenn pokemon so ruby and sapphire remakes will sell better.

I really think it's just along these lines, considering how long it's been since Hoenn was introduced. I still don't think it's a remake, rather just a reintroduction of pokemon that have been ignored for years now.

Maybe to both points, all I know is that I will somehow be excited to play them if they do come out ov0 despite the fact that I generally think remakes are a horrible idea XD

I'd love to play them as well Ruby and Shappire weren't as good as Gold and Silver imho, but they still had their unique atmosphere that addicted me a lot.
For some reason I find a few parts of the main Pokémon games kinda creepy. Lavender town for Red and Blue, the Unown song from Gold and Silver and that creepy Chateau in Diamond and Pearl. But the winner is that weird song after the first time you saw Groudon and everyone was into their houses with doors closed in Ruby and Shappire. That was probably the most intense moment that I could feel the panic from a Pokémon game. Can't wait to see how they are going to recreate that for the DS/3DS.
