In progress....
Almost every weekend without fail, I make a full English breakfast for myself and Xai, it's almost become tradition! There's just nothing like a nice, filling meal that you normally wouldn't have time for on a weekday morning! I'm calling this the Moltres Flame-Up because the style and technique is unique to me rather than your average B&B style breakfast.
Preperation time: You prepare as you cook
Cooking time: 30 minutes tops
Difficulty Rating: The eggs may be difficult to get perfect but the rest is quite easy and quick.
Serves: 1 (double everything to serve 2)
You will need..
1. Two large, free-range eggs
2. Two pieces of your favourite bacon, I use Morrison's "The Best" Oak Smoked Bacon
3. One tomato
4. Five large mushrooms of your choice.
5. One or two slices of bread
6. Butter
7. Oil (any to your taste)
8. Salt
9. Pepper (preferably coarsely ground)
10. Can of baked beans
The bacon takes the longest and probably stays the hottest so I would say start these first, drop some oil into a pan and slap the slices in. Cook them thoroughly at medium heat but careful not to toast them too much, unless they are strips of streaky bacon you really want them to be nice and meaty. Don't add any extra salt to bacon! They are salt enough already!
Once your bacon is done, take it out the pan and place it onto a plate, you may want to keep the plate in the oven to keep everything warm while the rest cooks, if you're like me and don't care about temperature, just stick it to one side :>
Bacon tends to leave lots of bacony bits in the pan, you may want to wipe these out with a kitchen towel and then pour some fresh oil in for the eggs. I find that for eggs to come out nicely, they require quite a bit of oil so they don't stick to the pan at all, my worst nightmare is broken, fried eggs! I use a tablespoon+ for my eggs and I usually fry them one at a time so they don't get stuck together.
